 FAQs

  • The packages include venue hire and set up, celebrant and photographer. They do not include food and beverages, florals, or furniture not listed in the package.

  • Food is not provided and the bar will not be open. While you are welcome to enquire directly with Chateau Doré about catering options to have your celebration here, most caterers have minimums of 40 people. We recommend you make a booking at a local restaurant, pub, cafe or winery. Your guests can head there after your ceremony, giving you privacy for photographs, and you can join them afterwards. With any luck, they’l have a drink ready for you!

  • You can enquire directly with Nicole at Chateau Doré about adding a drinks package. There is a minimum spend of $500.

Outside drinks may not be brought onto the premises.

  • In the event of rain we will move to the bluestone chapel room which is a beautiful historic space, and use the covered verandahs (and umbrellas!) for photographs.

  • You and your guests are welcome to arrive up to 20-30 minutes before your ceremony. We suggest making a lunch/dinner booking for your guests to move to after your ceremony and family photographs, so we can have a wander around the gardens for photos without you feeling self conscious.

  • Chateau Doré is an easy ten minute drive from central Bendigo with endless options for places to celebrate! Within a five minute drive though you’ll find Vin du Van (grazing boards & pizza), Mandurang Vallery Wines (Italian lunches), One Tree Hill Hotel (great pub fare), Spring Gully General Store (beautiful café meals).

  • The listed rates are Mon-Wednesday only.

Thursday - Sunday bookings are sometimes available off-season/ at short notice and will be quoted separately.

  • This is an opportunity to utilise one of Bendigo’s leading wedding venues at a fraction of a cost of a traditional wedding here, for your ceremony and photographs. The furniture is set up for you (rather than hiring chairs etc and lugging them into a garden), parking is easy, and you won’t have random members of the public wandering over for a sticky beak!

This offer is only available to Elope Bendigo weddings are we are so excited and grateful to have this as an option.

  • Absolutely - this must be booked with a minimum 14 days notice and is an additional $50.
